Our Verdict
We love this product because the battery life is one of the longest. Yes, it is only for dry use which means you can’t do this in your shower room. It might also weigh heavier compared to the rest. Having said that, it is quiet when turned on and with its material, this electric trimmer can last pretty much longer.
How Do We TEST and Select?
You might wonder what is our test process. There are the several factors that come into play when looking for a quality trimmer for your balls. Some tools might be designed only for your balls, but that does not mean it will not work. So that should you consider when buying a trimmer?
Design
Design is one of the most important aspect to ensure the trimmer can provide a safe and effective ball trimming experience.The trimmer should be designed that is easy to handle. As your grooming routine could take a while, especially if you are settling those hairs below the belt, it will take time, and more importantly, those are the most sensitive and crucial area. How to Shave Your Balls Safely
With the recommendation of the ball trimmers above, we would like to add some tips and tricks to ensure you have all the skills you need to shave your balls safely.
Location
First off, make sure you have the right environment, the bathroom usually is the best choice. This is because you can have access to water, and you will have enough space to reach those tight angles.
Tools
Secondly, prepare your tools. Get your trimmers and the guards ready. Of course, make sure they are all fully charged just in case you need more time. Shaving creams, towel, scissors for initial trimming, and any moisturizer or ointment for post trimming.
Hygiene
Thirdly, clean all your tools as well as your own. You never know what was left behind from the previous shave, so make sure those tools are rinsed properly. Make sure your groin area, your hands, and inner thighs, are all cleaned to prevent any infections let say if you happen to get a nick or cut. Once washed, towel dry those areas and get ready
Trimming
Fourthly, start to trim those longer hairs with scissors. This is to avoid any hair getting tangled in your trimmer. However, you can skip this step if your hairs are all in a manageable length.
Prepration
The next step is up to your preference. You could soak or shower yourself first before shaving. Soaking yourself in a warm shower might help to soften the hair and skin, and open up the pores for an easier shave. It also helps to loosen up your sack and prepare for an easier trim or shave. This is especially useful if you have sensitive skin or easily itched or irritated after shaving.
However, if you do not have much of sensitive skin, trimming or shaving before showering can help to clear the dirt more effectively without having to rinse twice.
Technique – Pull that Skin
While shaving, make sure you pull skin taut. This is especially if you are shaving your scrotum. The skin on your scrotum could be folded and it could get caught in between the blades if it’s not stretched while shaving. So, please make sure you take this step seriously and take your time. Trust us, it’s worth the effort and time. Use both hands, one pulling the skin taut, while the other hand carefully trim the hair.
Technique – Direction of Trimming
As you shave, go in the direction where your hair grows. This is to prevent any ingrown hairs. Then, gently hover your trimmer on your sack to get those hair trimmed. After a few shave, rinse your genital area and check for any areas that were missed. Go through the same steps again, apply shaving cream if you are shaving. Otherwise, use your trimmer to shorten the hair length.
Cleaning
Once you are all satisfied with the looks of your pubes and sack, do a thorough rinse on jump into a shower to clean every inch of your shave areas. This is to ensure you don’t get any infection and rashes due to those remaining shaving cream or hair. If you experience a cut, press on it for 3 to 5 minutes until bleeding is stopped.
Aftershave
For the final step, apply some aftershave to soothe the skin. However, please do not use alcohol ones as it makes your skin drier. You could try those with moisturizing ingredients.
