The Kiehl’s Ultra Facial Cream is one of our favourite moisturisers to use, and for good reason. For those who aren’t familiar with Kiehl’s, the American skincare brand has its roots steeped in apothecary. Yep, it started as a pharmacy in Manhattan at Third Avenue and East 13th Street in 1851, and can now be found worldwide. The brand specialises in premium skin, hair, and body care products. However, their most iconic product to date is probably the Kiehl’s Ultra Facial Cream, which we will be reviewing today.

 

 

Outlook & Mobility

The facial moisturiser comes in a white plastic jar that’s pretty hardy, and we like it for its straightforward and fuss-free packaging. It comes in different sizes, such as 30ml, 50ml and a jumbo 125ml version (most cost-effective size). While the first two are definitely travel-friendly, here’s a tip – head down to any Kiehl’s store to ask for samples, and bring the sachets along for your trip instead.

Kiehl’s Ultra Facial Cream: Key Features

This reasonably-priced moisturiser promotes hydration and healthier skin. Natural moisture-boosting ingredients include Squalane, Glacial Glycoprotein Extract and Imperata Cylindrica. The product is also suitable for all skin types. If you have oilier skin, however, try applying with a small amount first. 

Scent

For those who don’t like their grooming products heavily scented, this is a great choice as there is no fragrance added. Hence, there is no noticeable scent.

Texture

While the moisturiser’s texture may look deceivingly thick, do give it a chance. Scoop a little up with a clean finger and gently rub it into your face. You’ll find it melting into your skin with no oily residue. Tip: go easy on the cream – a little goes a long way.

Application

As a general rule, apply this after cleansing and toning your face as the last step of your grooming routine.
