The Urban Jack Revolution Shave Serum is our second edition or the Urban Jack Review Series. Our first series was focusing on the Urban Jack Face Moisturiser, which was a very pleasant product that keeps most skin types protected from any urban pollution. Being a company that prioritize ingredients that is used, the Urban Jack Revolution Shave Serum is no different. We were took by a surprise by how different were the texture and application of this product. Unlike your normal shaving cream or shaving gel, this product has its own uniqueness. The serum bottle is house in a black metal tin, a very unique way of packaging. The cap itself has a golden bronze bunny (that is Jack actually!) design.  Similar to the Face Moisturiser, the actual serum is housed in a white pump bottle, with a transparent protecting it. Its volume is 30ml, hence definitely a travel friendly product :)

 

 

Texture & Application:

This product is liquid-serum based and has a very soothing texture. Hence, only a small amount is needed when pumping it out. On average, around 2 pumps is sufficient depending how bushy your are ;). Before applying, wet your face with warm water, then massage serum into your skin. Subsequently, use a safety razor and shave according to direction of your beard growth. Finally, rinse off with cold water.

Verdict

The Urban Jack Revolution Shave Serum is unique on its own. Honestly, this is one of the fewer times I have experienced a shave serum that provides a great amount of moisturizing factor to the skin. From shaving to after shave, the skin doesn’t feel dry and it was a very smooth process. Moreover, it is suitable for sensitive skin. Undeniably, the price is steep compared to the normal brands like Gillette. However, considering the ingredients used and the amount needed for each shave, this product does guarantees an easy way to shave with skin friendly ingredients.
