Introduction

Welcome back everyone! After a week break here in Singapore, we are excited to share with you this new brand from Taiwan – ORIEN’T. From the brand name itself (probably inspired by the word – Oriental), it speaks a lot of how much the company has ensured their asian oriental culture is significantly embedded as they build these amazing range of men’s grooming products. It feels fresh definitely as we are seeing more products are coming from Asia.

This brand emphasis of using natural ingredients, being organic (certified by ECOCERT) and free from animal testing. Today, we will be looking their Clay Pomade. We took this product and put into test in our hot and humid climate of Singapore. Let’s see how it fared!

A huge thumbs up for their packaging. Housed in a glossy, black-brownish bottle jar, packaged in a box together with a thank you plus how to guide car (See Image below). To be consistent to its oriental branding, it has glossy gold stripes around the box, and its logo on the cover is bronze in colour. Feels like a product used by an emperor of the modern days! Some of it’s instructions are bilingual, catering to both english only or mandarin only speaking customers.

Texture & Application

Most of the clay pomades usually requires more pressure to scoop out, but this with ease, as soft as the Shehvoo’s Ocean Clay. It has a smooth texture and rubbing on the hand is almost like a cream product. This product can be applied both dry and damped hair. However, for this review, I did it on the a dry hair first.

After rubbing on hair to apply some heat, applying on hair was easy at first. It does feel a bit dry as expected because it’s a matte clay product. You will immediately feel the medium to strong hold immediately takes place. If you need some restyling, just use a dry comb or fingers, it will be sufficient to be restyled to your handsomeness.
